Saturday morning report

My mom (Leslie, Mama) came to Atlanta last weekend to help me and James finish packing up my condo. We have not been over there much since the wedding, 5 weeks ago, and there's a limited time to move my stuff to our marital home. Hee. So I told James I wanted to get up early on Saturday to go over there and start packing before Mama arrived at 4. Even then I knew we'd get there at 3! I got up at some obnoxiously early time anyway, against my will, and crept downstairs without disturbing the dogs. I hung with Mo and Sammie and Gus while the sun came up. After Mindie came down, the boys followed and cat time was over. The dogs and I had breakfast. The last of the We puttered around. I made the playlist of food, eating, and drinking songs for the Intential Eating as a Spiritual Practice class (Food for the Soul: The Spirituality and Pleasure of Intentional Eating). Saturday is usually James' day to sleep in and he had had a long week. So I woke him at 11:15 instead of 9, as requested. Of course, I had been up for 6 hours by then! James slowly woke up and then did his chores. I found myself getting impatient. He had to put some laundry in. I tried to rest and ice my neck. Finally, he was on his last chore, dealing with the cat litter box area. I made us both peanut butter and jelly. He hadn't had anything to eat yet and I hadn't had anything in 7 hours or so. Mine was delicious. And his was too, except it never made it him. Laffite! intercepted the sandwich.
